About Nora's Patisserie

Nora Tong is the chef/owner of Nora’s Patisserie, a pastry company in San Francisco specializing in European-style bite-sized desserts like Petits Fours and elegant Tea Cookies as well as custom celebration cakes. She creates an enormous variety of fine pastries for wholesale and private clients.

Nora earned her Professional Pastry Chef Diploma at L'Académie de Cuisine under Roland Mesnier, former Executive Pastry Chef of the White House. She trained at Fauchon in Paris, Wittamer in Brussels, Patisserie Damme in Gent and Pastries By Randolph in Arlington, Virginia along with working in many top Bay Area food establishments including Cocolat, the Pan Pacific Hotel, and Taste Catering.

Nora has taught the art and science of pastry making to dozens and dozens of aspiring pastry chefs at the California Culinary Academy and Tante Marie’s Cooking School.

In 2002, she was honored to be invited to create a birthday cake for Julia Child to celebrate her 90th birthday.

Nora is a member of the Women Chefs & Restaurateurs and the Bakers Dozen.
